Like the sinking mall
This place is becoming like the shopping mall. 75% of the stores gone and even the clearance sales can't draw customers.

*** I didn’t read the post all the way through and my mind jumped to shopping malls etc. 🧐
When my daughter was in high school in the 90’s a lot of the students would be buying the latest shoes the week they came out in the malls. They also loved bragging and showing up status symbol brands of clothing. She said if you bought them a month later and wore them to school the hype had died down and they were not a big deal then. That’s how materialistic it was back then. Ray’s grandson told me that students, even those with very successful parents, love to go bargain shopping at consignment and thrift stores for good pieces of clothing. They aren’t ashamed to talk about it considering that such bargains are a smart way to shop. One of his friends started going to the bin discount stores because we told him about them, and he is very happy to buy bargains from there. This gives me hope for this generation.
