Wow, SW changed the banner so it doesn't take up half the screen anymore.

For once, something truly useful.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Just the games menu items was removed. The menu itself is still there and the same size.

Even the ad area area above the menu is still the same size.

Old menu

New menu
@DeWayfarer I don't understand either. Looks the same to me. @HoeBag

@MsSwan briefly they removed the games from the Menu list. See second image. They had moved it to the social Menu item. Yet I never got a screenshot of that.
@DeWayfarer Hmm..

@MsSwan It`s just a darker colour for me since I`m not using dark mode.

@MsSwan Maybe it is, just on a computer, the part with home, forums, social, and games vanishes immediately when scrolling instead of taking all day.

@HoeBag You're mostly right there! Cellphones have a wide view if you rotate the phone.

Most never rotate it because the width is less than half the length. Yet you're totally right about the right side on the wide view being gone! And games are gone as well on the wide view.

@DeWayfarer I do most of my web time on a computer, because my eyes strain if I stare at a phone too much.

@HoeBag I am hoping now, what I think will happen, doesn't happen. Nobody will like it on either computer or cellphones. 😡
@HoeBag did you just simply go into SW account settings and check this auto-hide header option? The only way I can actually hide the header AND ALSO keep the actual navbar in place while scrolling is to use a custom CSS stylesheet for SW (via the Stylus extension for Firefox and Chromium-based browsers), which you can also see in my screenshot:

@ThirstenHowl That option only works on computers BTW. It does nothing on cellphones.

Same with the CSS options.
@DeWayfarer interesting. I never use SW on anything other than a laptop (so I relaxed the margins and padding in my stylesheet too).

@DeWayfarer The auto-hide on scroll option works on cellphones when selected.

@PerfectionOfTheHeart not on Firefox then....

PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
@DeWayfarer Safari for me.

@PerfectionOfTheHeart Apple made massive changes to Safari when they acquired it from Mozilla. Not even close to the same browser anymore. Same thing happened when Google acquired Communicator from Netscape (Mozilla really).
