Is there anywhere to join a group or club in person?

Is there a site or somewhere like meetup where you can join a group or club in person? I like meet up but it does not have any groups for my part of pennsylvania. I dont know if all of pennsylvania is like this. I wish I can meet people I like online. I want to start a group to make Marijuana not legal again. I have issues with family taking it i guess they have a medical card but anyone can get one of thoes. oh and I am not ok with alcohol being legal either.

In Internet Relay Chat they had groups by states but most of the meetups were for weekend parties.

@Pfuzylogic thats interesting i didnt think of this eriler but conventions like YouTube convention or anime, i wanted to go to one for a while but it would be a day trip

I was busy there in the later 90s. Not sure of the activity now. IRC was very similar to SW
