I was scrolling through posts this morning but didn’t have a chance to comment before I got busy with work, so here’s my rant

The post was something along the lines of a female user being hurt by an online relationship. I noticed a couple of comments from two male sw users who I’d consider “nice enough” by sw standards. Their comments were essentially if you take anything online as more than fantasy well that’s on you and if you’re vulnerable you should know better then to get involved. I call bullshit on that. Every human has moments of vulnerability and we all just want to feel less alone. So if you lead someone to believe you care for them and expect them to know it’s fantasy that is on you. Married and bored men are the worst for it. Take accountability of your own actions you’re interacting with humans not AI. I have way more respect for users that are honest about their intentions.
