What do you love about your state or county?

I like the wide variety of natural beauty we have in such a comparatively small area: mountains in Scotland and Wales and the Lake District in England; the wild spaces of the moors in the south-west of England and Derbyshire as well as many wonderful river valley scapes. For the most part people get along from very diverse backgrounds despite some trying to turn groups against each other. I enjoy being able to walk around not being at all worried about being shot by someone else, including the police. We don't have a president and the head of state is purely ceremonial which brings in a lot of foreign money for its novelty.
