Why can't I...

...add someone to my friends list? I have tried for 24hrs thinking it might be something to do with the server attacks, but still I get this message

You can't add this user to your Friends list at this time.

The person concerned has no idea why and apparently has no control over it. Help anyone?

You can remove & block people from following you.. it’s a separate block from blocking people outright .. they must have removed you from following them previously

@YoMomma Thanks for the suggestion. As they are comparatively new, I don't think I've ever tried to follow them before. Our brief exchange of messages suggested no ill-will. However, I might suggest they check their settings. It's awkward, because I never want to follow unless welcome.

@FreddieUK the algorithm will restrict access but I don't know why.
We reserve the right to restrict contact between members as a protection measure, if there have been complaints or if our system's algorithms prevent that contact.
