Ok. I love the diverse input from here. My friend's business is celebrating it's 25 year anniversary . My friend's partner has nothing planned and barely acknowledged it. My friend is put off. Is it a thing for couples to celebrate work things?

I would say no, it's not a thing. Most people's partner don't really know their coworkers, so it would sound like another "work thing."
