Ok. I love the diverse input from here. My friend's business is celebrating it's 25 year anniversary . My friend's partner has nothing planned and barely acknowledged it. My friend is put off. Is it a thing for couples to celebrate work things?

I would be put off too. This is something that should be recognized and celebrated by the partner of the person with the achievement, indeed.
