Why there is a surge of new profiles of women here?

There used to be one guy my age on here who had a whole bunch of sexy female accounts. It was like he was a novelist with different characters, except that he was catfishing. Some of you may remember "Lady June Bug" who was one of them.
Not saying this is the case with all these new accounts, but there is reason for caution. :(
