I get blocked sometimes but I do not really care. The first AND last time it bothered me was when it was someone I used to talk with here and there but then just blocked.
What bothers me is when someone has the nerve to UNblock. I already know they cannot be trusted so after that I don't want to be reminded that they exist.
Something kind of we*rd happened on this thread.
@jshm2 @Rickichickie and @Morvoren responses were hidden, even though none of them said anything offensive.
Why do responses get hidden so often on here? Is there a list somewhere with words that cause hidden posts?
@Gibbon yeah, making threads about politics does cause people to block, regardless of which side they are on. It just comes with the territory. When someone makes a thread with political opinions, they have to accept that it may cost them being blocked by others.

@Ghostinthemachine For reasons - well there are tons of them.
Someone blocking a demograph, maybe their friends dictate who they block, maybe someone is trying to hide their activity from a real life partner, whatever. I imagine political differences is the biggest reason.
Me - someone has to be a serious and persistent nuisance before I block. OR people who play the "block then unblock" game.
I think for some people on forums - blocking whoever is just one of their microagressions to "get even" or punish others for the frustrations in life.
That works if someone is emotionally invested in SW but for the rest of us, the worst it does is create monologue on threads. Like reading a book with pages missing.

@Punches It’s not too difficult to figure out who’s blocked you, if you care to find out.
