Do you chew your food thoroughly for proper digestion, or just enough to be able to swallow it?

According to most experts, you should aim to chew each bite of food around 20-30 times for proper digestion, but the exact number depends on the food's texture.

Chewing brings out more of the flavour so that's a good reason as well. If it's something I don't like, I try to dispatch it down my gullet more swiftly without choking.
