What do you mean ? Some people won’t reply to DMs if they haven’t spoken with the person in the public forums. And it’s possible to not receive DMs from people you haven’t already friended—at least not in your primary mailbox.

@bijouxbroussard Shortly before I made this post it was possible to send two messages to someone’s inbox before they replied for the first time, and you could still edit your first and/or second message within the first fifteen minutes of sending it like normal. So if the other person didn’t reply to your first message, whether they didn’t see it or weren’t interested or whatever the case, you could at least get one more try. Now, the first time you hit the send button that’s it. Either they read your first message and reply to it or you’ll never be allowed to message them again.
