Mine came from an old joke with friends. I'm Mexican & Yaqui (a Native American tribe from Mexico). I said my native name would probably be something like 'he who runs with water' & a homie joked 'nah more like he who runs with 40oz' 😅 I used to always drink 40oz beers so it was funny at the time.
When I came here I just used that joke & added the "Chief" 🤷 it used to be "RunsWith40oz" but I switched to "WalksWith40oz" because it seemed calmer. After I quit drinking though I dropped the 40oz & just walked. I suppose it's kinda evolved over time
