@Stephie hahaha absolutely none. I used to go fishing on the Rye. Was that the Dyke? It was the best part of 40 years ago 😫

@Cheesecake Woodbridge is one of my favourite towns in Suffolk, that and Aldeburgh. I’m in Felixstowe 12 miles from Woodbridge.

I actually visit Oxfordshire again next weekend. I stay at Premier Inn in Kidlington and got a restaurant booked at the Jolly Boatman near Thrupp.

@Gingerbreadspice I remember trips to the seaside at Aldeburgh, before it went trendy. I lived out in the sticks in Rendlesham near Eyke village, on the estate of Lord Bunbury (my dad was his butler). Had a couple of years at Woodbridge School on a scholarship after passing the 11-plus exam. Different times 😏

@Gingerbreadspice as a boy I used to help Sir William's gamekeeper rear the pheasants and partridges for the shooting season in that forest. Once saw a red squirrel and a Fallow deer stag at close quarters 🥰
