I don’t think we agree on much politically but I’ll agree with this broadly. This country is far too big, complicated, diverse, resilient and resource plentiful to be destroyed over the course of a single presidential administration.
This is not to say that political decisions do not cause needless suffering for groups of people on many many occasions. We may differ on these issues.

@luckranger71 And a president does not have that kind of unchecked power.

Well, since the article attached said it was smog, I’m going to assume it was, indeed, smog, as reported @NoThanksLeon

@AbbySvenz Do you really think the media was not agenda driven in 1943, same as they are today? Maybe you are right, but we really don't know.

I don’t particularly care. The sky was not pretty and blue in LA in the 40s @NoThanksLeon

The voters formerly known as Republicans now have no one to vote for.. Not that there is anything wrong with that..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Parties matter less now. Nothing has changed. It’s still a choice between the lesser of two evils.

@Adogslife Sad but true...😷

So, who was destroying the world for the other 170+ years 🤔
NoThanksLeon · M
@Adogslife Newspapers, books, magazines, and radio. Ex: "War of the Worlds".

I reckon some people have been saying the end is near since damn near the very beginning .

@AthrillatheHunt Yeah, I know. When did Barry McGuire release "Eve of Destruction"? 1965? That's a pretty lengthy evening. 🤣
