Can anyone explain to me how this is supposed to work?

The "Time" button... is it supposed to show a feed in some sort of time sequence? I've tried it a few times and it picks some random number of posts, usually starting with those that are a few hours old.

That's your custom feed. Hit the filter button to adjust what it shows and/or what it's called.
