You may’ve posted something that they disagreed vehemently with.
You may’ve spoken in a friendly manner to someone they don’t like.
You may’ve disagreed with someone they do like.
You may’ve befriended someone they like a [b]lot[/b] (who has shown no interest in them).
Most of us have been blocked for one or more of those reasons at some point. Personally, I prefer that to being followed around on posts and trolled; which also can happen.

@bijouxbroussard it would be fun if, when we block someone, we had to type in a short reason before the system would accept the block, and this reason would be visible both to the person creating the block and person being blocked ... because when you rarely do much here at all, it is quite baffling sometimes

@Roberthouse May well be true for you but inoffensive is in the eye of the beholder. You may also be blocked by new users. Not sure how admin figures it but some people can’t see new user content for a certain period of time. When I joined, there were certain users I couldn’t interact with for around 2 weeks.

@Roberthouse I agree with @OlderSometimesWiser . For example, you have said you are a vegan. And while you have explained how you do NOT rail against people who are not, simply the "v-word" will be enough for some people to block you.
I do not know, of course, whether that is the reason. But any of us can inadvertently, and perhaps bizarrely, piss off someone without having the slightest idea why.
One thing I have learned: don't assume everyone on this site is emotionally stable!

If you posted something voicing an opinion they find objectionable, they might simply decide they are not interested in seeing content from you.
In that case, it would simply be a matter of someone trying to customize their feed in such a way that they will enjoy coming to the site.
