@Ghostinthemachine I am gone most of the time. I cant ever stay here too long, forced to close the doors after feeling the ghosting and irrelevance and frank hostility in general. And the mindless inanity too. I feel people goading me to leave, like I have no business hanging out here. Happens EVERY time I come back, about three seconds after getting going.
Most of my posts are ignored completely except occasionally from some snarker making me feel dissed/blown off or "agreed with" with no comment
Its a grunting and farting site. Its what makes most people feel welcome I guess.
And I discovered EP in about 2006, so its a very long history.

I’ve heard this place described as a mindless distraction. Is that what it is for you?

I needed what all of us need..connection, a little solidarity and maybe a friend once in a while. And I get pushed out instead.
