How to determine who started/is the author of a group?
Is there a way to find out who authored a group? You can see the members, but is there a way to tell who created the group?

Not sure there is a way in the actual group.
But you can tell which group someone created by going to a profile, select forums, select admin/mod.
ETA: Actually you can by selecting 'members' in a group then there is an option to select members/admin. Click on admin.

@bijouxbroussard But there no "manage group " to click..its maddening
For now, when you click on the members link, and then click the admins tab on that pages, there's only one admin, the person who created the group
If things change and a creator will be able to add more admins, then that will make this less useful, unless at that time each admin gets additional labels
And this all only works if you haven't been blocked (so then you just need to log out, I don't think any groups are private, but that might change
And it only works until the user cancels their account or are suspended, otherwise, like below, you only see SW-User as the admin, and if you don't [i]remember[/i] who created the group, then it's not helpful:

@Starcrossed I tried logging out to see who the invisible members in my group are but that doesn't work
I suppose this public toggle has to be moved to the on position whenever someone joins a group or this is another way the members list won't be very useful

@BlueGreenGrey If thé person’s blocking you (or vice versa) will you even see their group ? I wondered about this.
@bijouxbroussard I tested this both with someone I am blocking and someone else who is blocking me, I found both of their groups in the search box, and I can still visit the group, but in both cases I can't see their names as the admin of the group until I log out (view the group pages in a new private browsing window)
