I still carry weight from my past mistakes.

It's now become very big and visible to others as well.

I must stop eating fast food. So my belly fat is to be maintained.

The older you get the more of them there are.
And some don't sit well for the rest of your life
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
I move forward but sometimes I didn't let go like I thought I did. It's a journey.
ArtieKat · M
@AlchemyFox Totally agree
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
I've let some of them go. Some of them still cling to me pretty hard.

As I grew older I realized that alot of things really dont matter to me, no longer need to get involved with some people anymore. I am finally seeing that I don’t have to answer to anyone but myself. I still have a couple people who are always on my radar. I understand that I’m supposed to forgive and forget but those will be neither forgiven or forgotten. I don’t let those POS’s lay on my mind tho, they aren’t worth it.
WhateverWorks · 36-40
I don’t know so much about letting go. I learned from things. I made choices with intention to change those things. Those changes moved me away from my past and the heaviness of it. Sometimes it still comes up, but it’s mostly irrelevant to the life I have now.

Every mistake is a lesson to, hopefully, be used to learn and gain some semblance of wisdom. I don't think it's smart to let mistakes go. Our scars define us. In my opinion.

I guess I did move on but the whole process of making and realising the mistakes, of blaming and then learning to forgive myself..it all changed me a lot.
NewBeginnings7790 · 41-45, F
There are many things I still carry. Many regrets and mistakes I have learned along my way. But I’m trying to learn how to move forward again.
DiegoWolfe · 36-40
A year ago id say i was weighed down by my past, but now im starting to drop baggage i dont ever have to carry again!
It seems like there is a lot that I haven’t been able to let go of.
I drag my past mistakes around like a bag of rocks 🪨

I guess I carry the weight of them. I like to carry weight though. It makes you stronger. Even to the point it becomes weightless.
Mistakes Make us and I am No exception in learning from them and make different mistakes.
I forever hold a grudge against santa, he knows what he didnt do

I move forward and find letting go a slow part of that process.
exexec · 61-69, C
I let go. I don't dwell on things I can't change.
Lostpoet · M
Can't let go and so I can't move forward
NiftyWhite · 46-50, F
Carry a few of them.
It depends how you let them go.
Some just shove them under the rug and don't care who they hurt , some go through the process of trying to give closure not only to themselves , but to others as well.

Past mistakes are not easy ...they are a journey .
And a quite painful one at that.😕
pdockal · 56-60, M
