EP vs SW - differences?

I see people bemoaning the differences between SW and the defunct EP. What are the differences, and why have they come about? Is it a matter of greater/lesser moderation, altered structure of the forum; what?

EP was the less refined version of SW. The main difference was that you created your own groups whenever you felt like it and had other people start posting in your group. The infrastructure felt more alive. SW feels cold and hard in comparison to that concept. Rigid.

@MartinTheFirst So, with EP, post were displayed chronologically and you could be your own 'moderator' within your own group?

@VirginMatchmaker I find it hard to imagine something less censored that SW.

@Really Yes everything was chronological and it was super easy to find anything you looked for. You could not moderate groups however, once you created a group it was up forever
