@SW-User I'll always care & wish her the best but I don't think I can get over our last conversation. She said something that hurt my feelings & when I told her that her comment was insulting she said "you're an insult to yourself. Just like everyone else you know. Lose my number for good this time".

I didn't even do anything to deserve that. All I did was tell her about a conversation I had with my brother. He has autism so I've always been a guide for him. She just felt like my life is too fucked up to be there for anyone

@ChiefJustWalks I definitely understand why you would feel that way, I’m sorry that she said those things and made you feel bad. If It were me I definitely wouldn’t be able to get over that or want to reach out either. And even though she said those things that hurt you, you still didn’t say anything bad about her. I admire you for that because honestly I don’t know if I could do the same, if someone insulted me like that.

@SW-User I used to insult her back to years ago. We'd fight then make up like we were a couple or something. Eventually I got tired of it so I stopped arguing back. I started trying to understand instead but she'd still get mad at me.

I'm just done with trying to please anyone. I live for me & that's it

@ChiefJustWalks I literally went through the same shit with my friend, so when he said he wanted to end it. I definitely wasn’t gonna beg him to stay 🤷🏽‍♀️ And that’s right I’m definitely feeling the same way now, I always used to be the type to wanna make everyone happy but that’s impossible so Imma just focus on myself instead

@SW-User hell yeah it just be like that. You just lose the energy for certain shit just because there's no room for it anymore. Arguing doesn't change anything so what's the point. It's always better to focus on yourself though. You gotta be a little selfish sometimes 👌

@ChiefJustWalks exactly i don’t have the time or energy for bullshit 🤷🏽‍♀️. You’re right arguing doesn’t change anything at all, and it’s just better to not waste your time doing it. I wouldn’t even say that’s selfish (but so what if it is), it just is what it is you know? Why would it be selfish to take care of your own needs first , instead of always pushing them aside for others who don’t do the same? I get you though

@SW-User I see it like this, being selfish means to put yourself before everybody else. Which is why I called it being selfish. I wouldn't say it's a bad thing.. because it's not. People always use the word "selfish" in negative contexts but in actuality we all should be selfish. After all, nobody else is gonna take care of us better than ourselves. I mean it's different if you have a family or anything but if you're a single person getting by in this world, you have every right to put yourself first 🙏
