Silly. This issue has already been addressed - you can choose to filter messages if you want to. Otherwise most adults just don't open things from people they don't recognize. As far as I can tell either Nuno or Andrew are asses. Apology is owed.

Everything just goes into requests and I don't look at those

@candycane: it doesn't just filter ages. It works as Nuno said; I only PM friends. When I get messages from non friends, it goes to message request. You can choose then to accept, or delete the messages in the request inbox.
