As for the spin offs, a new company bought the rights to Spyro and decided to reboot the franchise based entirely on name recognition, both Spyro’s and the cast of voice actors
The cast had Elijah Woods as Spyro, Sparks was played by Wayne Brady, David Spade, and Billy West. Gary Oldman was there too. It was just a very heavy story based series of games that wasn’t particularly good story or gameplay wise and they just kinda put Spyro’s name on them
