How do you deal with a control freak at work?

The coworker that’s always telling you how you should do your job and attempts to correct what you say when really there’s nothing wrong with what you’re saying- you’re just not saying it the same exact way they would 🙄

I had a weird coworker like that.
When a new associate who I was helping would ask ME a question, she would jump in and answer. Sometimes she would be across the room. That irritated me so bad.
I told her " do you want to answer his questions from here on out? He asked me so let me answer. If I can't figure it out I'll ask you since you're the expert".
Her: oh I wasn't trying to be rude or anything. Didn't talk to me for the rest of the day and was really short with me from there on out lol.. big baby , lame ass
@iamnikki ugh I feel you and I too hate when people speak for me! Like it reveals so many insecurities about the other person feeling wanted and all. I had that happen once and the girl got embarrassed bc the dude straight up looked at her and was like, “IM NOT ASKING YOU!”...lol

@DecafD yea I think that's what it is. Wanting to feel needed. I have a coworker at my current job, who I don't work closely with who does the same thing sometimes. When you ask someone a question, shes staring right at you waiting to interject
