I tell my baby I love him so much every day and almost every hour and he smiles back at me and touches my face! I know he doesn’t truly understand but I say it anyway 🥰❤️

Baby's can get too little attention, too much attention, or
too much of only one kind or none of the right kind, or the wrong sort of attention at the wrong time.
Or a fitting balance of the several kinds at the right time.
You might not think your baby understands you but he certainly is learning to do so.
Just make sure that you mix in your attention with occasions of mutually oriented interaction .
They don't speak but they communicate. Often with their arms and legs. The left side refers to self and the right side refers to who he his interacting with.
