Basically what it teaches is that if you’re bigger and stronger than someone you have the right to [b]hit[/b] them to get them to do what you want. Makes concerns about video games “causing children to be violent” rather ironic.
Yes, I was hit, because that’s the way my parents were raised. They stopped when I was about 11.
When they became grandparents they actually apologized to us for having ever hit us and hoped that we wouldn’t continue the practice. None of us have.
