What is your veiw on parents who smack there kids as disapline was you ever smacked as a kid growing up

Should be rarely used. Unfortunately, it's often used daily. So we have kids terrified of their parents.

@graphite I was [i]totally[/i] terrified of my parents from a very early age - from the time I was a baby. I even thought they were going to kill me in my sleep. My self-parenting and a lot of therapy, have helped me to forgive them and let go of my resentment of their behavior toward me. I may always have Complex PTSD from growing up under their "care," but I'm acquiring tools to cope with it.
