Idk if people on here are funny or just wild lol

So this lady blocked me. And I was like okay, cool, some people don't vibe. She's an older conservative white lady from what I gather, clearly with very different views than mine. But then she UNBLOCKED me so she could inform me that I have a "devilish spirit" and that she will be blocking me. O... Kay, thought you already did that but.... Bye again I guess lol? Like blocking people doesn't have to be an insult y'all. I didn't assume it was meant to be an insult, I thought she just didn't vibe with me and so didn't want to see my posts or comments. But apperantly it was because of my devilish Spirit, so watch out y'all 馃槀馃槇 I'm coming for yooooou next

Odd... You've always struck me as intelligent and rather sweet

@Quizzical I don't like to put blatant assumptions out there but she came across as low-key racist to me tbh. It was over immigration and she basically said all immigrants who come here illegally are in the wrong. And I brought up that my mom was here illegally when I was born and she just wasnt having it lol. I think she only got mad after I talked to other people on the post and she saw my messages to THEM though. So I don't think it was really what I said to her personally

@Lucyy Well, some folks are just like that...

I always found it amusing when Americans complain about immigration, illegal or otherwise. It's the height of hypocrisy, lol.

@Quizzical I was talking to my friend on here. But she's my friend in real life too so I am looser with her than most people. And she's white btw 馃槀 but I brought up "colonizer" mentality, of how immigration is okay if they're serving a purpose from the people driving the work, but how it is banned when that's not happening. And I think she may have had the same mentality, so I may have inadvertently called her a colonizer 馃槀 but then I blatantly pointer out how what she was saying was a colonizer mentality riiiiight before she reblocked me so no regrets lol

@Lucyy I've always felt that colonisation is double edged sword, there has been good done within the bad.

@Quizzical probably more bad than good. Ultimately though, eliminating segregation would not have happened without it. That being said, I can also see some benefits to cultures keeping to themselves. All the culture lost to colonisation would still be around. So there's just a lot of factors to it I guess. But the mentality of "immigrants are here to serve the USA" is a no go lol
Quizzical46-50, M
@Lucyy That's the thing with culture though, it changes over time anyway. Things are lost, new things developed. It changes as society does.

Mind you, that said, it's easy for me to say as we're not really allowed to celebrate our culture here. Too much of it is tied up in Imperialism for modern minds to feel comfortable with.

@Quizzical I think it's harder for me to find the goods with colonisation when I lost so much history to it. I literally had relatives who were brought here as slaves. And on my dad's side, I had relatives who completely lost their native tongue when they were forced into English speaking schools (native American). So I guess for some, the loss just is too great to appreciate some of the gains. I'm sure there are some though. I'm mixed, so I wouldn't exist if cultures didn't collide.

@Lucyy Yes, I can see that being the case for some.
