Some of theses people seem legit.
I have even chatted with one, or two.

there's a catfish here who has a long history of doing that, some users know about it, expose her , and then she just makes a new acc 🤷‍♀️ I just looked at her profile and there isn't a warning sadly

@Spoiledbrat You can spoof [u]everything[/u] in the HTTP header. It's really easy. You can also spoof email addresses. It's not rocket science.
