Can you open your eyes without to that first cup of coffee?

@bijouxbroussard french press is my preferred preparation too it makes me feel atleast a little productive.

On pure level the French press IS the automatic coffee maker. It automatically makes coffee as soon as you fill it.

@MethDozer There's at least a little bit of science that goes into it like I always use cold filtered water and after bringing it to a boil I let it sit for two minutes while I grind the beans which I can choose how coarse and how much I want/need to use and then I usually let it seep for four minutes because I like the extra strong flavor.

@Lostpoet A 12 cup take about the same time if not longer if you're grinding at home. Just sayin' the prep on both is about equal.

Only time I don't want coffee is when it is dark roast. That's like taking Prime Rib and cooking it well done and adding milk or sugar is like putting ketchup on it.

@MethDozer True but I have to have dark roast or it tastes like water to me. I didn't use creamer or sugar sometimes I'll squeeze lemon juice or use nutmeg and cinnamon.

@Lostpoet Dark roast is too weak for me. It doesn't have the caffeine kick.
