The likelihood of someone abusing that power is too high.

@InOtterWords On Ep the volunteers didn't have that much power, they had some direct communication with some higher-ups to discuss problems that people brought up ECT, but they couldn't remove people or anything like that, is there another way of abusing that power I'm not thinking of?

@Bonjovi11 I guess, but I'd like to think the community here on a whole is generally helpful and supportive, feeling the need for volunteer mods makes me think that that community does not exist and if it doesn't then people in that position will abuse the system.

@InOtterWords I can see where you are coming from, the way that the volunteer system worked on EP is we were mostly welcomers and a psuedo tech support, we would tell people how the site worked and who to get in contact with to fix any problems they had, another safeguard they put in place was that the position was only offered to those that were long standing members with a perfect track record, and on top of that they had to fill out an application

@Bonjovi11 it is a small community here, much smaller than EP.

@InOtterWords true, so smaller volunteer team lol

@Bonjovi11 no. I see no need for it
