Well. I travelled 340 miles round trip today.

Paid about £40 in petrol.
£6 for parking.
Paid £38 to get into a football ground
Paid £4 to get a programme.
Paid £6 for snacks. (2 cups of tea and a Hotdog !)
Watched my team get beat 3-0 playing the [i]worst[/i] football i think i've ever seen !
Got delayed coming back because i was pulled over by Police for a 'spot check' near Cambridge and they went through just about every inch of my car......(?)
30 miles from home.....accident so detoured.

Could have spent the day in bed and have it cost me NOTHING !!! 🤬

If you had cable TV you could have had all of that at home and gone to a cleaner bathroom as well

@whowasthatmaskedman Every once in a while i like to try and go to a game.
I meet friends and family there and make a day of it.
RATHER than continually either paying silly sums for live football coverage or run the risk of piggybacking some horrible virus on my pc by trying to free livestream

@Picklebobble2 Ahh.. My Cable offers so much live sport (which I dont watch) I assumed yours did as well. If there was a TV broadcast I would suggest inviting the pick of your friends and family over and made a social day of it.

@whowasthatmaskedman UK Premier league football is virtually owned by a satellite tv company. So the only way you can watch it is if you shell out 40 quid a month+ Otherwise you only get the BBC highlights.
