After you block someone, do you continue to respond to them to make it look like they quit an argument of their own volition?

At one time I got blocked right after that person decided to write more than I could read in the notification. That was wasted effort of them. 😅

Another time I noticed (through the notification again, I think) that they made it look like I didn't know what to reply anymore by blocking me.
