Will SW set it so that only questions are posted in the questions section and statements automatically post in the stories section by default?

That should clear up some of the clutter in the questions section and make real questions easier to find.

oops..im guilty of using a question to say something. I like the way I don't have to search groups and can make a heading..sorry

@Bushmanoz The SW police are gonna get you now!!

@JaggedLittlePill uh oh..in my defense, I am fairly sure I always used a question mark no matter what the story..ie " I fell down a well today..?" so I may get off with a warning

@Bushmanoz 😂 A question mark should help you pass with flying colors

@Backtoscratch Really? Gosh. Thanks for pointing that out, Captain Obvious.

There are many reasons people use the question area and write statements ....Each individual member uses this site differently and in a way that serves their own purpose. I wouldn't spend all my time worrying about how people use the site in this manner. Doesn't really serve a purpose does it? Other than to satisfy your preferences, anyway.

@Backtoscratch And yet, in over three years of various people whining about it here, and 10 years on EP, it hasn’t been considered enough of a problem for site changes. 🙄

@Backtoscratch So this is probably not near the top of that list. On the rare occasions that I post a statement, the underlying question is “what do you think ? Discuss.” And people offer opinions. No one’s been confused.

@Backtoscratch And yet, the fact that people give opinions whether that’s added or not makes it redundant.

@Backtoscratch I was not being serious as @JaggedLittlePill could tell. if I ask a question I will frame it as a question. As stated, you can bypass the whole thing by simply adding, "what's your opinion?"..even, "anyone else experienced this?" Frankly I don't see it as a huge problem, they have more important things to sort out first. I for one have never been upset if I scrolled either section and saw one was out of place, sounds more like an OCD thing

@Backtoscratch it's a form of anxiety

@Backtoscratch here is a better explanation
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder in which time people have recurring, unwanted thoughts, ideas or sensations (obsessions) that make them feel driven to do something repetitively (compulsions)

@Backtoscratch And people obsessing about things that they cannot personally change, that are not causing anyone’s death or injury, might be another example.

@Backtoscratch No one is saying it's your fault you might feel like that. And I apologise for using the term if it's something a bit too close to home
@Backtoscratch Sure, that’s basically what the site is for. And folks will keep posting rants in the Q&A, too.
