Why do people misuse the word "dude" on SW?

Not for the first time I've had some troll call me "dude" and I've seen it being applied to other women on SW as well. Why, when the Oxford English Dictionary doesn't list it as a gender-neutral word? Why do people use a word like that inappropriately on this site?

IKR? It's not just the word "dude." I hear people refer to girls as guys - "all you guys," when they're girls - or bro or bruh. I don't get it. When I was growing up, a male was a guy, and a female was a gal.

@Moodswings the singer actor troy silvan Is genderfluid. some times thinks he is a girl sometimes he thinks he is a boy and dresses vaguely to where you cant tell if he is a boy or a girl. I know many people that were gender fluid at my high school. 😺

@Moodswings yes is not right word usage to call cis gender woman a dude. cis gender means you identify as your gender rather then as the opposite gender. 😺
