How would you describe your experiences on Similiar Worlds?

For the most part, I'd say my experiences on Similar Worlds kind of moderate everything out. When I'm feeling agitated to the point of wanting to claw my eyes out, posting on SW gets me a little more relaxed. When I'm feeling happy, reading other people's tragic tales gives things a solemn, grounded spin. When I'm feeling completely hopeless, reading about the toils and perseverence of others helps me calm down and realize that life goes on. When I'm feeling calm, I always get dragged into some protracted debate, which inevitably reignites the fire within.

Often, it is just plain fun -- lots of witty or silly interchanges. Or, it might be a thread that is nostalgic or simply a chance to talk about hobbies or interests. Sometimes, I have real heart-to-heart conversations with people, and those times are the most rewarding. And then there are the angry, profanity-filled rants, which are not my style at all. I try not to get sucked into those conversations, but sometimes I just have to say something!

@Mamapolo2016 "A Tale of Two Cities." Loved it. :-)

It's the closest thing to a virtual home and community as I've ever known.

Also,I'd be left alone with a lot of confusing thoughts and feelings if it wasn't for this site.

We may not all agree with each other, but I get the sense that in many, there is a shared appreciation for each other , for being here participating and contributing, to what is one hell of a picture about what makes us all tick.
