Why do some people on SW behave in a mysterious manner and then become uptight when we misjudge them?

Doesn't it occur to them that we wouldn't misjudge them if they were more open and honest about themselves?

I like a little mystery and to be somewhat mysterious. It doesn't really have anything to do with a lack of honesty or openness. It just gets shared with specific people and not generally.
