blocking someone because they don't share your sense of humour is the first good reason for blocking people that I have heard.

@BrookeBondage because their humour is likely to cause offence to someone who doesn't "get it" . This usually leads to flame wars and hate mail. (although I usually enjoy a good flame war in these threads).
Blocking someone is much easier than trying to explain or apologising to them.
