I don't know the answer to this, but popularity on the internet is fleeting. You may get 15 minutes of fame and then it quickly fades.

Define 'popular'....

Some people are well-known, because they are good, kind, funny, smart or helpful....
Some people are 'infamous' but for less admirable traits.

Personally, I'd choose to be known for the former...even if it meant very few would even know my name.

Some people just seem to get the majority of the site to like them. Maybe they exude a charm? Dunno.

You need to never ever argue and you always have to pretend to be happy. People will think you're such an amazing and positive person and look right past your fakeness. Your shell of a "good morning" posts will get all of the people buzzing, but it'll kill you more and more for each and every one you make, until you snap.

Same way people do away from here I suppose....sometimes people just have a natural ability for getting people to like them.
