How would you gauge someone's popularity on SW?

Is it profile views, amount of comments the user receives on posts, number of Friends/Followers (though this is sometimes hidden as is profile views)...

What is your formula?

No this is not a "popularity contest" question... I ask because I saw previous posts asking who the popular users are and I'm trying to understand HOW they come to their conclusions.

I have never given it any thought...I wouldnt put it down to profile views though, because fact is if I put pics of my naked body I am going to have my views soar - does that make me popular - nope.

@Fantabulous Yeah, profile views would probably play a part, but what if the view count is hidden?

How can that then be used as a means of gauging popularity?
