Does verifying an account not defeat the concept of anonymity on SW?

I mean simply clicking on the little green tick actually brings up a picture of the user...

Yeah sure this is not an issue for those who have freely posted our pics on here for all to see, but what will happen to those users who decide to never verify there accounts?

I agree, one of the major reasons I use SW is because I don't have to fully register with addresses etc. Phone numbers, post a pic etc. The anonymity is key for me. I truly believe being unverified will be phased out as part of the joining protocol.Eventually there will be none left.

I understand serious hackers could still get my personal email, but after my email ? Good luck! Lol.
