Well i think one has to be patient. Someone reaching out and wanting to know you is a beautiful thing. Some one might not be gifted at conversation opening. But then the process may begin of peeling off the onion and then the real deal and real person starts revealing ..the process is beautiful. Judging and discarding a cover of the book is not always smart or fair thing to do, is it?..

I've never figured out why asking what someone does for a living is a good question anyway. Most people don't like their jobs, nor do they do what they want to do, so why do we base our impression of their character based on that? Like, if you base my personality on the fact that I write instruction manuals for a living, you'd think I was the most boring person on the planet.

I agree. Cliché questions are boring.

Butterfly, how can we mitigate (or at least, learn to live with) this crisis in consciousness which plagues our world? This planet is suffering so many blows against it due to the people in power being so invested in growing in power at the expense of human, and all other life, and the planet in general. What are your thoughts?

Those "cliche questions" should be answer in someones profile.
I like question that tell about the spirt and good will of someone or something that make me think.
