I will do the needful

This is my country, this is Uganda. This is our home. Society has made it so easy to shift our gaze from the reality of life in this country. We would rather focus on our small happy lives, since when has it been 'For God and My Family'? When did we forget who we were, we'd rather take pictures of our food than look at the images that portray what this country really looks like. We've forgotten who we are, we'd rather become spectators of the drama that ensues in our already corrupted legislature than look at how else we can effect change. Change will not come from a change in leadership if we cannot start changing society on our own. You and I are the roots, society is the tree. Do what you can as I do what I can, that's the only way we'll make a change. Let's not pretend to be patriotic by fighting government and instead be patriotic by the way we behave and through pure actions. People out there live in a difficult life, some children have never known a happy life. But that can change, be the reason someone will smile in their sleep. Let's take responsibility am to do all i can to help the needy. This is #ourrealcountry. For God and my country.
