I admit some of mine aren't stories. Most of the experiences I write are never as positive as something someone else can write, so sometimes I end up writing something silly and short instead to help balance it out. When I write something meaningful or serious, I write something longer, in which not many people seem to want to read. I do enjoy feedback here and there. So I have been trying to shorten them a bit.Maybe they should change it to just "experiences" instead of "stories" or something like that.

@Spinningtime7 Yeah, maybe more groups would be good. Some other people have really good content to read about, meanwhile mine tends to have some hard to digest reading material, lol.

I read some of your stories. I think they are mostly light.

@Spinningtime7 Great, I'm shifting the balance between light and dark😂

I agree. And then you get people like me who write stories of more than three sentences and someone takes time to complain that it's too long so they won't read it because long stories take too long to read. And I'm thinking, it just took you three times as long to write this complaint than it would to read my little story.
I think it's because some people are just getting to used to texting and anything with details is beyond their attention span.

@Serenitree Man, that is ridiculous. Perhaps this is because there are way too many stories that are one-two sentence long. perhaps, if we set a minimum word limit for stories (maybe 25 words), people will be more used to reading longer stories?

@Spinningtime7 I don't know! I know I write them and if they get comments, I respond, if they don't, I forget about them. Once in a while, someone will stumble across something I've written and comment. But I don't write fiction. Mine are anecdotes about things that have happened, or commentaries or opinion pieces.

What's the difference between telling a story and telling an experience?
Spinningtime7 · 26-30, F
@Abbenthewarwolf Not much of a difference i suppose.

@Spinningtime7 right
