The ones I regret are mainly due to misunderstanding, on either side. My obscure sense of humour can cause that.

@Jonathan937 I think I'd go along with "may" cause that. Very often when English isn't the mother language there can easily be misunderstandings. Also I'd say many people on here are shy and vulnerable to taking offence when none was intended.
