[c=#003BB2]Hallo everyone I am a new member of this site. I used to be a member of the old Exepriance Project and I was told this site was good.🙂 I am please to meet everyone and I hope I make a lot of friends on here like I did an EP.

Thanks mate. Yeah EP was becoming sloppy towards the end and I guess its owner found it more viable to close it once this site was being developed. I now some people can be impatient but As I can see on the chart they are getting stuff done as quick as they can. I have noticed that they have member filters on this site that they did not have on EP. That will no doubt cause conflict especially them coming from EP who where free to chat to anyone.

EP was around for just about ten years. It had really grown too big. The admin more or less abandoned the site. . Left a single bot to moderate and police the members.

This site, so far has about one percent the population. But it has live moderators. Admins who are still developing the programming, so are actually present and interested.

Just in case you wonder, they are slowly getting things done. Some members are growing very impatient because it isn't happening fas enough for them. But these people are here, doing this in their spare time. They all have day jobs. This is a hobby, not a career. They are all volunteers. So far I doubt they have seen a single dollar of profit. Maybe, once it is completed, they may begin to have sponsors, and see some small profit, but for now, I ask you to be patient, as they are doing it slowly, so they eliminate the glitches, before they happen. They are trying to get all the safety and security built into each feature, before adding it.

I guess in some ways they do that to see if that person is well behaved to be allowed to talk to the to the younger chatters. I guess I can see the reasoning in that but one thing you could do on EP was alter your age am not sure if you can do that here. If you can then that is a big loophole in the member filters

Yes, it has caused some conflict, but only with people who seem to feel they have rights. They are wrong. What we are granted when we join this site are limited privileges. Not unlimited rights.
The longer one is here, the more reputation they build, (according to what I can understand it is a built in algorithm that monitors language and behaviour. Your reputation gains you more privileges, or more restrictions, depending on your behaviour.

I don't pretend to understand, but for a few days my access was limited, then suddenly, I had full access to correspond with people of all ages.

I believe you can change your age, but only with administrative approval and assistance. My friend typed in something wrong, one of the digits in her birth year, and was a teenager for a few days. Admin helped her get that right, and she was once again a woman, in her middle years.

Nice to meet you. I hope you will be happy here. It's far smaller, so not as busy EP was, but there are fewer trolls. No Billy. And a block button that works to protect yourself from people who are too obnoxious or disturbing.

[c=#003BB2]Thank you, I noticed the site is not as big as EP but in fairness EP was around for a number of years and am sure that once SW has been around for that length of time it will be of similar size.🙂[/c]

No, I believe it made her uncomfortable.
