Not allowed to view profile

Occasionally there's a profile saying this. I'm fairly new here, what's the reason for that message?

It means you've been blocked by that user.

@calicuz If the user blocks you, you can't see them at all. You will sometimes notice someone with a string of comments on a thread where it looks like they're talking to someone who isn't there; this means the other person blocked you.
