Hey, some advice please. What is the best way to approach someone on here.
I have had a few people follow me with no previous interaction, and then no further contact - am I supposed to DM them?
I have had a couple of random DMs, which I have to admit it was nice to get a message.

Is there a preferred way, or do you reply on people saying on their profile what they prefer?

If someone interacts with my posts whether by just hearting something or actually commenting then I add them to the list of people I follow. If they comment then I usually heart their comment so that they can see I noticed it and also reply if it seems that a reply is needed.

Once in a while I'll send a direct message to someone but usually only after having had several public conversations with them.
