Google has the answer

It turns out, there’s a name for that phenomenon: the online disinhibition effect, or “the abandonment of social restrictions and inhibitions found in normal face to face communication when on social media. In other words, it’s the tendency for otherwise decent humans to engage in aggressive or obscene online behavior.
Phew!
Now I know the real reason why I had to block five users and delete eight mail on only my first day here.

Some users aren’t really even decent to begin with. Best of luck in finding the people you’ll get along with here on SW.

@ScorpioBites That's what I was thinking. But maybe they aren't bad people but are using this as an outlet...idk....

We refer to it as, “Keyboard Courage”.

It’s a common ailment amongst many adults still living in their mothers’ basements.

When we’re sure no one is watching, the default tendency is to throw all moral codes away. That’s what perfect freedom looks like. It isn’t good for a society. We want freedom but we can’t self-police when given a chance. True spirituality teaches us what to do with freedom.
That’s why I’m opening the Holy Church of SW 😂😂🤣 to educate all perverts, online bullies and suggar babies!
Haha the last paragraph is a joke!😉

Oh yes this is definitely a thing for many people they do not dare do in reality what they would dare do here. For me? I dare in the real world

As there is no centralized theme and nothing to be learned on this site, then people pick and argue a lot.
Eclecticallysound · 41-45, F
@Punches They should try changing their mindset. If that's all they can find to do maybe they should go back to high school. Some of them are in their 40s and 50s. They need to grow up, it's pathetic.
PhilDeep · 51-55, M
What's even more concerning is the extent to which social media seems to be increasingly used, completely ignoring this.
And of course, if it's "Googled", it's automatically the truth. 🙄

@LoneVoice On here to an extent.
